That’s why responsible commercialization is central to everything we do, from research and development to getting our products to market.

All our teams and customer-facing partners take responsible gambling training courses, and we work every day to create a safe environment so that games of chance remain a form of entertainment.

We raise awareness of the risks associated with gambling and provide players with the tools to set limits and stick to them.

And since we’re always looking to do better, we’re committed to continuously improving our responsible gambling program, Wise Play, so it can fully fulfil its mission: Making sure a game remains a game.

Our Commitments to Responsible Gambling

We realize that games of chance are not trivial products, and in the spirit of shared responsibility, we commit to the following:

1.Making responsible commercialization central to all our activities.

2.Offering a trustworthy, fun and safe gambling environment by ensuring, among other things, that we comply with applicable laws and regulations and putting measures in place to prevent minors from taking part in any form of gambling or obtaining our products.

3.Evolving our offer so it remains relevant and competitive and complies with the highest responsible commercialization standards.

4.Applying exemplary advertising and promotion practices by targeting adults exclusively and not encouraging excessive gambling, among other initiatives.

5.Providing all our teams and customer-facing partners with training courses tailored to their roles so they’re well-equipped in responsible commercialization and we can integrate it into our organizational culture.

6. Helping our customers make informed choices by providing complete, up-to-date and available information on games of chance and raising awareness about low-risk gambling practices.

7. Offering and promoting tools to manage gambling, such as time and budget limits, to keep gambling fun.

8. Identifying players who may be in distress, informing them about available support programs, including self-exclusion, and guiding them toward the appropriate resources if necessary.

9. Driving responsible gambling knowledge forward and implementing best practices by cooperating with our stakeholders, be they researchers or health professionals, government bodies or other partners.

10. Continuously assessing our responsible gambling tools, measures and resources and making the necessary improvements.

We implement several measures throughout the process of bringing our products to market that promote low-risk gambling. Here are some examples: 

  • We have areas dedicated to raising awareness about low-risk gambling in our casinos and gaming halls.
  • Customer age is checked at our locations and retailer outlets.
  • Our staff and partners take mandatory responsible gambling training courses.
  • We abide by our Code of Responsible Commercialization.
  • We abide by a Code of Advertising Standards related to games of chance.
  • The corporation does not extend credit to players.
  • We provide support to players and have a support chain in place.
  • Our gambling options are controlled and ban violence, vulgarity and riskier gambling structures, among others.
  • We provide tools to set gambling limits.
  • We run ad campaigns and awareness messages on responsible gambling in our gambling environments.
  • We have a website dedicated to responsible gambling.
  • Our video lottery terminals boast features that promote low-risk gambling.
